A fundamental aspect of the Kindergarten curriculum is building literacy, math and science discovery skills that will enable children to establish a firm foundation to learn throughout their school years. This is accomplished through center-based learning stations, Circle Time, and direct instruction.
The Pre-K3 classroom is designed around the ability of the child to discover the world around them through play and guided instruction. Our center-based approach allows the child to imitate life through play in the kitchen, grocery, dress up, building, reading, writing, art, puzzles, transportation, and play-doh centers.
A Florida constitutional amendment created a program designed to prepare four-year-olds for kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success. The program allows a parent to enroll his or her eligible child (four years old by September 1 and residing in Florida) in a free VPK program.
